Face a dissapointed season in San Siro |
Diego Forlan signed by Inter in August, a replacement for Samuel Eto'o with every right to regard himself as the club's new first-choice goal-scorer.However he only spend most of the time watching games from sidelines following series of injuries.
The 32-years old was heavily linked for a move to Brazilian side, Internacional as his contract's expired next season.
"For the time being I have a contract with Inter and in the next few days I will return to Italy,'' Forlan told www.fcinternews.it.
Internacional vice-president Lucian Davi earlier confirmed the club's interest in bringing the Uruguayan international back to Brazil.
"If that information is true, we'll be interested," Internacional vice-president Lucian Davi toldLancenet.
"Internacional will have to be creative to know how to handle this kind of situation. If Forlan becomes a free agent, we will have to work something out regarding his wages."
