Finally Alberto Aquilani ended the speculation about his status at Anfield by joining Serie A side, Fiorentina after disastrous season with Liverpool Fc. The Italian delighted with his move spoke to Italian press.

“Why did I choose Fiorentina? Because they showed that they wanted me, it’s an interesting journey and I can do very well here,” he said.

Aquilani failed to breakthrough to first team after joining Liverpool from Roma for a fee of £20million. Despite performing well on Italian soil with Juventus and AC Milan on loan term for past season, he's failed to impress the head coach with his talent in Liverpool.

Its a good move for the Italian for me since he's just wasting his talent and time being a benchwarmer with the Merseyside wherever there's a better future for him in Italy.
